Dance adaptation, shot in old black-and-white slapstick style, of the opera Carmen introduces four dancers who act out their tragicomic story in the pits of a deserted Czech coalmine, to Georges Bizet's expressive music (which composer Han Otten arranged and completed with compositions of his own) and following Jirí Kylián's choreography, which was created on site.
