Freek has trouble holding his ground. His life mainly consists of the drudgery in a slaughterhouse. At work, he is needled by his colleagues who call him a wally, despite his many tattoos. Parallel to the chilling atmosphere at the abattoir, this drama shows the life of Freek’s small son, who cheerfully plays in a beautiful, timeless forest. He is the only person Freek really communicates with.
