While the camera slowly rises from a field full of insects, revealing a Dutch horizon, the red morning light changes via orange and yellow into alarming bright white. Fire!
Animation director Maarten Koopman, who won the jury prize for short film in Cannes in 1990 with De slaapkamer, was this time assisted by computer animation specialist Floris Kaayk in designing the insects in a field from which the camera slowly rises. While the Dutch horizon appears, the red morning light changes via orange and yellow into alarming bright white. Fire!
