Boven is het stil

Helmer, a single middle-aged farmer, leads a secluded life with his elderly father who sees him as a failure. The daily visits by milk collector Johan, a robust fellow Helmer’s age, are bright spots in his otherwise drab life. One day, Helmer changes tack: he tidies up the house, moves his bedridden father upstairs and hires a farmhand. The drama, based on Gerbrand Bakker’s novel, is dedicated to leading man Jeroen Willems, who suddenly passed away this year.
