Cinematographic impression of the Windward Islands St. Maarten, St. Eustatius and Saba. Between the islands the government schooner Blue Peter operates the postal traffic, cargo and passenger transportation. We see images of the rich nature and the inhabitants of these islands in their quiet life, awaiting the arrival of the ship carrying letters of their loved ones who work elsewhere. Like Fernhout's film A.B.C., made to increase the knowledge of Dutchmen about their overseas territories.
