Blind fortuin

You can find them on every Spanish street corner: people trying to sell lottery tickets. The ungrateful profession is often practised by people who work for the national organisation of blind people, ONCE. Ramón Gieling portrays a number of blind and visually impaired ‘cupón’ sellers: colourful figures, each with a remarkable story. Gieling also filmed blind children at the ONCE institute and a sighted lottery winner, whose story proves that blindness does not only exist in physical form.
