Since the arrival of social media, news spreads across the globe like wildfire. So, why do we hear so little from Iran? The limited number of correspondents and power of censorship make coverage quite difficult. Now, a dedicated app allows students, expats and immigrants to share their personal stories more freely: in the form of video selfies with face recognition software giving storytellers a blue mask in real time. The result is a new form of journalism, combining a direct narrative form with an artistic performance.
