The village of Bannebroek is spellbound by the annual children’s talent contest. The local shopkeepers are united in a jury and the pushing parents prime their children for the glorious victory. One of the contestants is failure-fearing Max, who has prepared a magician’s act with his friend Willy. When the jury advises him to drop Willy and go through to the final solo, Max has to choose between friendship and fame. Comical family film in documentary style.
