In the 1980s, Amsterdam is more or less Sodom and Gomorra at the same time. Plus, there is a chance of (squatters) mayhem surrounding the coronation of Princess Beatrix. A lot of work to be done for fledgling detective De Cock (‘spelled C-O-C-K’), and his streetwise partner Montijn.

Amsterdam, 1980. The Dutch capital under stress. Squatters’ riots, illegal drug trafficking and the imminent coronation of Princess Beatrix, potentially with an attempted murder: fledgling detective De Cock has his hands full. His partner at Warmoesstraat police station Montijn, rooted in the old Amsterdam Jordaan district, plays fast and loose with the law himself. Whodunit with action, humour and a juicy Amsterdam brogue, based on the works of A.C. Baantjer.
