Filmmaker Sergej Kreso, who was in various centres for asylum seekers himself, follows four youngsters who look back with nostalgia on the childhood years they spent in refugee reception centres. How did they experience their time in this secluded world, where social contacts with people from different cultures developed naturally? And how do these youngsters get by in today’s Dutch society, where isolation, ignorance and social media play a large role? A personal documentary about the search for a home.
