An aerial view of Viborg, Denmark. What initially seems an idyllic spot soon unfolds as an uncanny futuristic vision.
Danish Viborg, one of the oldest Viking settlements, expanded into a medieval town. With its brick buildings and red tiles, surrounded by water, it is an idyllic sight. In this film, compiled from digital photographs and using game animation techniques, the city transforms into a spectre in which seven avatars dance through deserted shopping streets. The choreography is taken from Hollywood musical West Side Story; the track All, or Nothing at All, considered Frank Sinatra's first hit song, gets a makeover in Danish singer Nina Vadshølt’s interpretation.
