TV series in eight episodes in which 24-year-old Adam de Heer moves straight from the Zeeland clay to the noisy city of Amsterdam. Everything in the capital is different from his native village. Through an awkward collision, he meets his 30-year-old neighbour Eva van Amstel, an unconventional, young Amsterdam woman who continually has trouble finding a purpose in life. Adam falls head over heels in love with Eva, and vice versa. But on the eve of their marriage, things go wrong.
