Episode from a ten-part series of documentaries about the Ten Commandments. Privé looks at the eighth commandment, 'thou shalt not steal', and focuses on the desire to possess... and hence also, sometimes, to steal. In the film, we do not just see children who admit to knowing about stealing friends, but also an old woman who 'does it too' in the form of taking the tram without buying a ticket and a crook who has no regrets. The director herself also know quite a lot about stealing. Victims of various forms of theft tell their side of the story: your feeling of security can be stolen, but also a heart or a life. In between, a stand-up comic makes jokes about stealing and finally looks at the biggest crook of all times: God himself.
