An episode from the documentary series 10 Geboden. Karin Junger allowed herself to be inspired to make the documentary God Is My Co-Pilot by the third commandment: Thou shalt not take the name of God in vain. In the film, she investigates the link between religion and war aboard the USS Roosevelt. On the largest aircraft carrier in the American fleet - the ship has a crew of 5000 including about 200 pilots - not a day goes by without prayer, singing and church services. Throughout the war in Kosovo, Junger followed several pilots and there spiritual men in between the air raids. She takes a critical look at their faith: what do these pilots think about their role in this war and how do they justify this role with their religious convictions?
