Vet hard (Too Fat Too Furious)
Action-packed black comedy is a remake of the Danish box-office hit Old Men in New Cars by Lasse Spang Olsen from 2002. Jack Wouterse plays the foolish cafeteria owner Bennie who is released after five years in jail. His intention to keep to the straight and narrow is immediately thwarted when creditor Milo (Ton Kas) demands Bennie's collaboration on a new job and his dying foster father Mats asks him to get his real son Koen out of a Belgian prison. After a spectacular escape, thick with special effects, it turns out that Koen is a necrophilic serial rapist. Nevertheless, the 'sons' join forces in their pursuit of money for a new liver for father Mats. During a hold-up, Koen falls in love with a hysterical hostage who makes complete havoc of their plan. One option remains: to collaborate on Milo's plan. Oliehoek's debut film contains some hard-boiled action scenes in which cars fly through the air and an airplane narrowly misses a terminal. It was awarded the Golden Film.
