The Bricklayer's Son
In the voice-over, a child's voice and a man's voice - father and son? - tell the story of the bricklayer and his handicapped son who makes a hop every fifth step. Onscreen, we see a modern version played out in the streets of New York, where artist Sebastiaan Bremer is inspired by his son who has learning problems. Because the film was shot on super8, it has the nostalgic connotations of a fairytale.
