Autobiographical feature film début by Rita Horst about a couple who find out after seven months pregnancy that their child won't live. They try to cope with their sadness in their own way and become increasingly isolated from each other. Monique van de Ven was given a Golden Calf at the Dutch Film Days 1990 for her role as the mother who loses her child. The film also won the Dutch Critics' Award.
