In the desolate surroundings of a refuse dump, Mira uses her birds of prey to keep off seagulls that are a pest. Mira, unkempt hair, baggy grubby clothes, seems a lone wolf in the male-dominated waste-processing industry. When a recently died baby is found on the dump one day, people wonder if Mira knows more about it. Gradually, a tragedy unfolds that reveals a lot about this apparently independent woman.
