Honger

 (Hunger)
Short TV drama about Maaike, a girl who goes to spend a weekend with her cousin Charlotte. Not because they are good friends, but because all her girlfriends are away and she doesn't have anything else to do. But a weekend like that can turn out very different with an uncle who thinks he's Tarzan because many years ago he won some breaststroke prizes and an aunt who designs swimsuits. Uncle thinks that Maaike is a skinny sparrow and so he wants to do something about it. For dinner that night, Maaike is given a large plate of macro-dynamic beetroot. And that just happens to be the only thing that Maaike doesn't like. And however uncle tries to do his best, she refuses to eat her dinner, because there are limits. Then something beautiful happens. After Tijger and El Toro, Honger is Van Duren's third contribution to an international series of children's films without words made every year under the auspices of the European Broadcasting Union.
