Het 14e kippetje (The 14th Chick)
Ironic tragi-comedy about young people, family and friendship in today's Amsterdam. Daniel and Francesca are getting married. Martin, a friend from their youth, organises a special dinner to mark the occasion for friends and family. However Daniel and Francesca have forgotten the address and roam the city looking for the right restaurant. The guests meanwhile kill time practising their party act, gossiping about the happy couple, playing cards and with an eating contest. As time passes, their conversations take strange turns. Het 14e kippetje (The 14th Chick) is based on a screenplay by Arnon Grunberg. It was the writer's début as scriptwriter.
