Actors film based on the script of Belgian author Kristien Hemmerechts. Haar deals with the relationships within what seems to be an ordinary family. Mother Evie has to look on meekly how her husband still treats their pretty seventeen-year-old daughter Ellen as his princess made of porcelain. She used to have the beauty of her daughter, but her husband seems to have forgotten about this. It is not only bitterness that characterises this woman. Despite or maybe thanks to her age she is able to change. Evie has a very close relationship with her son, Ellen's twin brother Pieter. In this boy she sees a new future.
