This tragicomedy embraces several days in the life of Louise, a woman who surrenders herself heart and soul to her usually absent and married lover. To soften the painful desire after the umpteenth rejection, she focuses on the suffering of others. She gives soup to junkies and offers her support to Amnesty International. The emptiness remains. On the advice of a girlfriend, she tries to still her sexual appetite with the ecstatic 'tours de force' of a dildo, but surrogate love does not compensate for lacking the real thing. The acceptance of the impossible love between her and her lover leads to a new start. The script of De juiste maat was written by the Flemish woman writer Kristien Hemmerechts.
