Tragicomedy based on the book by Harry Mulisch. A holiday trip has disastrous consequences when a couple's car rolls over and finds itself in no-man's-land. The authorities from both countries roll the ball back and forth so the woman lies wounded in the fields for weeks and her desperate husband has to resort to his last chance: the queen.
