Netherlands Production Platform

The selection for the 2011 Netherlands Production Platform (NPP) has been made and 20 brilliant, entertaining and thought-provoking projects, all ripe for co-production, are ready be presented to, and pored over by, some of international cinema's most important and influential financiers, distributors, sales agents and co-producers.

The aim of the Netherlands Production Platform (NPP) is to encourage co-production collaboration between the Netherlands and other countries, especially those with a similar production capacity. Only feature length films suitable for co-production, with a minimum duration of 90’ and with local financial support in place, are considered for NPP selection.

This year's projects come from nine countries; Belgium, France, Germany Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Turkey and The Netherlands. For the first time we will present a transmedia project (Culture Files, Germany), and we will also present two animation projects (Heinz, The Netherlands; Our House, Denmark) as well a documentary, the Dutch project The Journey. All films selected for the NPP are feature length, with local funding in place.
